LAPD ANNOUNCES JSI SINERGI WILL BE NEW CONTROLLING SHAREHOLDER

PT Leyand International Tbk. (LAPD) announced plans for PT JSI Sinergi Mas to acquire a majority stake in the company.Bambang Rahardja Burhan, President Director of LAPD, in his statement on Thursday (28/8) stated that the new controlling candidate will take over 2.02 billion shares or the equivalent of 51% of the company’s total paid-up and issued capital.

PT JSI Sinergi Mas is engaged in the holding and wholesale business of solid, liquid, gas fuels and their derivative products. The purpose of this takeover plan is for long-term investment while supporting the development and expansion of the group’s business in the future. “This control plan is implemented to support sustainable business growth,” wrote Bambang.

Once the acquisition process is complete, PT JSI Sinergi Mas will become the new controlling shareholder of LAPD. In accordance with Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation No. 9/2018, the new controlling shareholder is required to conduct a mandatory tender offer to public shareholders, he added.

In today’s trading, Thursday (28/8), LAPD shares rose Rp9 or strengthened 10 percent to Rp99 per share.
